How to Prepare for your Boudoir Session

• Bring more outfits than you think you'll need. We'll lay them all out and decide which to wear first, second, third, etc and we'll hold onto some for “just in case” we still have time or we need to change out one of our upper choices. Some things you may opt to bring include panties of several different colors, high heels (even if you don't usually wear them), lingerie, a shirt your guy (or girl) wears (even a work uniform if he/she has one), a team jersey of his/her favorite team, a favorite nighty, a nice bra and panty set

* Plan to spend about an hour and a half posing. If you add hair and makeup, that will take about an hour and a half as well. Plan your day accordingly.• Avoid any self tanning products for at least 3 days before the session. They tend to photograph orange. Stay out of the sun as well because sunburns can be just as unflattering.

• Don't neglect your fingernails. Pamper yourself with a manicure a day or two before the session or at least trim them and make them neat and clean. Your hands will be seen in a lot of the images and chipped or dirty nails can ruin an otherwise gorgeous image. • Drink plenty of water before and during the session. Posing is a lot harder than you think it will be and it's important to stay hydrated.

• Stretch a little before the session, especially your back, shoulders and arms. Some of the poses are harder than they look and it helps to be limber. • Bring a favorite beverage if you'd like. I have plenty of water and sodas as well. Some people find a glass of wine helps them to relax.

* Avoid creams or lotions with glitter. Glitter looks great in person but doesn't photograph as well as you would think.

• Professional hair and makeup helps but isn't necessary. If you need recommendations besides my in house stylist I can offer some of my favorite other stylists. If you decide to do your own,  for makeup, go a little heavier than your daily look, but not overboard. You want to look like you on a good day, not like someone else totally. For hair I prefer less work. There will be times when I may ask you to run your fingers through your hair and you don't want to get your hand stuck in the stiff hairspray. Some of our looks will call for hair that's “just woke up” gorgeous.

• If you'd like to bring some photos of images that inspire please do so. We may not recreate them, but we can use them as inspiration for our photos. Also please make sure you've thoroughly viewed my gallery and like my style. Your images will look very similar to the images in my portfolio. And also keep in mind that I can't read your mind. If you'd like to try something, speak up! If you have a vision in mind, speak up!

• No self hate. You are gorgeous! I've photographed women from size 0 to triple and quadruple X sizes. Every woman is beautiful in her own way and everyone has issues with certain parts of their body. We'll talk about the parts of your body that you love and that he/she loves and we'll focus on those parts and not even mention the parts we don't like. But keep in mind, your guy may love your butt even if you don't!

• Relax and have fun. The session is just as much for you as it is for him/her. Most women leave with a smile and a big boost in self confidence.

• Also keep in mind that you'll see at least 40-80 images and sometimes more. You don't have to love them all! That's why I give you so many to choose from! We'll work together to create the products you want with just the images you love.

• Your viewing session will take place within about a week of your session. You'll have an opportunity to see your images -- some edited and some unedited. From there we can start to narrow down your favorites. If you decide to order an album, we can choose the images for that album at the viewing session. Once you decide on your images, I'll need a few days to design the album and retouch those images. I'll send a proof link to you through email where you can flip through a virtual album. If it looks good to you it'll go to press. Once it goes to press it will take 2-3 weeks for delivery. I cant' wait to get started!
